Through his long association with the company, Alessandro Mendini has played a key role in the development of this aesthetic. Notable for their charm and sense of fun, his pieces for Alessi have been the crowning achievement of a varied career during which he has also worked as an architect and as the editor of influential magazines such as Modo and Domus.

One of Alessandro Mendini's best loved product lines is the Anna G. range, featuring a stylised, robotic-looking female figure with an infectiously friendly smile. An ideal entry point into this range, the Anna Stop 2 Bottle Cap turns this familiar character into a handy stopper for bottles of wine. Measuring 10cm in height and 4cm in diameter, the piece has a cork formed from malleable but resilient thermoplastic resin, while the head is made from gleaming chrome-plated zamak zinc alloy.
