Cha Creamer

The Cha Creamer was created by Naoto Fukasawa for the Alessi label. Made from beautiful stainless steel and shaped elegantly, it will be an attractive way to serve guests.

Fukasawa is an experienced Japanese product designer who founded the IDEO company in 1996. In the 2000s, he was also one of the formative influences on Muji - who have since become a global brand. At the same time, he struck up a productive relationship with Alessi, one of Italy's most accomplished kitchenware design labels.

The Cha Creamer is typical of Fukasawa's work. Understated and graceful, it has been carefully shaped using stainless steel, adding appealing curves and retaining plenty of capacity. In fact, with measurements of 9 x 6 x 6 cm, the creamer will usually be more than capable of handling family meals and dinner gatherings.

There's no handle on the Cha Creamer, which reduces extraneous elements, keeping everything as simple as possible. Instead, servers need to hold the container around the neck, in Japanese fashion, but this doesn't make it cumbersome. Fukasawa has ensured that the curves of the creamer have enough purchase to be handled with ease, reducing the chances of spillages.
