Born in Bahia Blanca, Spain, Alejandro Ruiz trained as a designer as well as to be and interior designer and decorator. The designer has collaborated with a host of premier manufacturers and also lectures at the European Design Institute and Milan's Domus Academy. He has worked and created designs for Gregotti Associati and Alchimia Studio.

Constructed from durable steel and PMMA, the Parmenide Grater With Cheese Cellar is available in a range of pleasing and harmonious colours. The steel grater sits on top of the cellar and is easily removed for easy cleaning and maintenance. The PMMA cellar collects the grated cheese as it falls, preventing mess or wastage.
