Product description

The A-Shelf has been created in-house for the brand Andersen Furniture. With their headquarters in Hinnerup, Denmark, Andersen Furniture epitomises all that is great about Nordic design. Inspired by the natural world, the company was set up by a master cabinetmaker in 1916, and now has a long tradition of excellent craftsmanship as well as Danish design, which doesn't date and is built to last.

The A-Shelf is an a fine example of classic carpentry, and is a modern re -working of the 'Amager' shelf, where precious, memorable family items always used to be displayed. Made from light oak, the edges and surfaces of the shelves have been sealed and honed to a lovely finish. The joinery is strong and sleek, and built to be slightly adjustable, allowing the shelf to be angled to display items as required.

The shelf comes in 2 sizes: Medium: 52cm in height, 9cm in depth, 46cm in width. Large: 78cm in height, 67cm in width and 12cm in depth. As the A-Shelf is not only based on an 'Amager' shelf, but is also an 'A' shape, it would make a witty housewarming gift.
