The 66 Chair Clear Lacquered Base has been created by Alvar Aalto for the brand Artek. The 1935 piece continues to be appreciated and sought after. It remains relevant in terms of style because of its minimalistic aesthetic.

The 66 Chair Clear Lacquered Base is made of birch wood and veneer. The backrest has straight edges and a cut-out at the bottom that has the shape of an inverted U. It is split into two at the bottom with each edge attached to the back legs. The round seat brings another shape. It is thick, sturdy and comfortable. The shell is supported by a base that adds another decorative detail. It is made up of bar-shaped legs that are curved at the top. They are attached to the underside of the seat over the curves which creates the illusion of a floating seat. The back legs are outspread which makes the chair stable and strong.

The 66 Chair Clear Lacquered Base has a width of 39cm, a height of 80cm and a depth of 42cm. Its seat height is 45.5cm and its backrest height is 80cm. It is available with a clear-lacquered base and seat that is matching or lacquered.
