The Decompose' Table Lamp was designed by Atelier Oï for the Artemide lighting label. Resembling a spiral of ribbon being gently blown into the air, it has a beautifully composed appearance, but it's also a wonderfully functional table light.
The creative nature of the Decompose' Table Lamp is in keeping with the Atelier Oï ethos. Founded in 1991 in the Swiss city of La Neuveville, the design company brings together the diverse talents of Aurel Aebi, Armand Louis and Patrick Reymond. Inspired by architecture and boat construction, their products have a freshness and structural harmony that sets them apart from the crowd, and this lamp is a great example.
Made from aluminium tinted with brilliant golden and smoky grey tones, the Decompose' Table Lamp has a cylindrical form with a small footprint. Measuring just 10cm across, it can be placed anywhere you need a little visual stimulation and illumination. The lamp is freestanding and connects to mains electricity via a 61cm cord. It uses a bright, energy efficient 6W LED, ensuring that paperwork, reading or general relaxation will have the perfect light source.
