The Pirce Suspension Lamp has been created by Giuseppe Maurizio Scutella for the brand Artemide. Pirce is an elegant pendant lamp which is built around a series of metallic rings. The form of the lamp gives it an almost futuristic feel, while the light itself casts a glare-free indirect beam that will be a refined source of illumination for almost any room of the home.
The standout aspect of the Pirce Suspension Lamp is its disc-based construction. Scutella has used a series of aluminium rings which connect together and support a bowl shaped luminaire. The rings form an irregular spiral and reflect light in a complex pattern, while the white surface of the discs creates a mix of shade and bright elements that is a visual delight. The lamp is secured by a circular ceiling canopy and a vertical wire which recede into the background.
The Pirce Suspension Lamp measures 97cm long and 94cm wide, with a height of 28cm and a total suspension height of 200cm. The suspension height can be adjusted to suit different settings, while the lamp can also be externally dimmed if desired. The luminaire is easy to access and accommodates a single halogen rod R7s bulb.
