The Shogun Tavolo Table Lamp named after feudal Japan's ruler was designed by Mario Botta, the founder of inTicino, for the manufacturer Artemide.

Botta is also an architectural researcher whose work is internationally recognized with such important awards as International Architecture Award, Merit Award for Excellence in Design, and IAA Annual Prix 2005.Artemide was established in 1960. Today, it is one of the best providers of modern lighting and practical illumination systems. The company operates under the philosophy of 'Human Light'.
