BM1771 Garden Table

The BM1771 Garden Table was designed by Børge Mogensen for the brand Carl Hansen.

Designer Børge Mogensen was a pioneer of Danish furniture design, recognised for his ability to create everyday pieces that combine durability with an understated aesthetic appeal. The BM1771 Garden Table is a fine example of Mogensen's famed use of basic materials, shapes and proportionality to create an everyday piece of furniture that not only looks good but is also extremely functional.

The table is made from solid teak, a hard wood that is strong, durable and able to withstand extremes of heat or cold. Teak is also resistant to rot and decay, termites, woodworm and other insects, making it an ideal choice for outdoor furniture, although it is equally well suited to indoor uses such as flooring. The BM1771 Garden Table stands 72cm high and has top surface dimensions of 149 x 69.5 cm, large enough to sit four people comfortably. The slatted table surface gives the table a rustic look suited to the outdoors and its folding legs mean the table can be stored flat when not in use but is easily erected when required.
