CH53 Footstool Frame Oak

The CH53 Footstool Frame Oak has been created by Hans J Wegner for the brand Carl Hansen. The late Danish designer Wegner lives on in his work that is as popular today as it was when he designed it decades ago. This ingenious designer is credited with contributing to contemporary Danish design that honoured Scandinavian heritage. A good example is the CH53 Footstool Frame Oak that he designed in 1966. A showcase of superior craftsmanship and ingenuity, the stool has a frame made of solid oak and a seat fashioned from paper cord that is woven by hand into an interesting pattern comprised of triangles. The frame is made of tube-shaped wood with slats all around.

The CH53 Footstool Frame Oak is available in two sizes. The larger one has a width of 50cm, a height of 46cm and a depth of 39cm. The smaller one has the same height and depth and a width of 38cm. It has a seat height of 41cm. It is available in soaped or oiled oak. It can be used together with a lounge or armchair or it can be placed in an entryway or hallway. It can also be used for extra seating when necessary.
