Mentas Glass Spark Protector

Founded in the 1990s, Conmoto is one of Germany's leading interior design labels, marketing a huge range of furnishings. However, the label found its initial inspiration in front of the fireplace. Founder Johannes Wagner noticed that there was a huge gap in the market for designer fireplace guards. Although designers wanted to incorporate fires into their projects, they had no specialist protectors to do so safely. Hence, in 1998 the Mentas Glass Spark Protector was born.

This spark protector is made from elegantly curved glass which has been processed to a precise thickness of 6mm. A small handle has been cut into the upper part of the protector, enabling it to be moved with ease, along with a bottom groove which also makes it easier to position.

The protector comes in two sizes: The small size measures 76 x 16 x 50 cm, while the larger screen measures 94 x 21 x 55 cm.
