The architects and Swiss natives Aurel Aebi (1966) together with Armand Louis (1966) and Patrick Reymond (1966) were the founders of the Atelier Oï studio in 1991.
Their commissions vary between architecture, design and scenography. They pursue an interdisciplinary approach that results in new and often unforeseen means of expression. Experimentation with the material is often the starting point for their work.
Atelier Oï develops products for Ikea, Wogg, Swatch, B&B Italia, Foscarini, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari and Dietiker. They designed the table "Oï"for Dietiker.
They hold a chair in the design department at ECAL (Lausanne Cantonal Art School) where they oversee projects that concentrate on new materials. In addition, they have been invited to lecture at many design schools in Switzerland and abroad.
