The rustic Backenzahn ST04 Stool was created by Philipp Mainzer for renowned German design company e15.

The company has been in operation since the mid-1990s, when it was founded in London. Showrooms in Frankfurt and Milan showcase the brand's simple yet beautiful designs. The Backenzahn ST04 Stool is the brainchild of Philipp Mainzer. Mainzer studied at Central Saint Martins College and the Architectural Association, with a background in both product design and architecture. He is part of the German Design Council committee, and now leads e15 as the creative director.

The Backenzahn ST04 Stool is a useful stool with a quirky edge. Its unusual shape is reminiscent of a tooth, with a square shape and four pointed legs. It can be easily stowed away underneath a table and is perfect for large dinner parties or for day-to-day use. It can be purchased alongside other kitchen and dining items from the same range, such as baking trays and pans. It is made from either oiled oak or walnut wood that reflect the beauty of nature. It has a length of 27cm, width of 27cm, height of 47cm and seat height of 47cm.
