Product description

The Pangen Suspension Lamp was created by design company Fontana Arte.

Fontana Arte started life as a small producer of construction glass in 1881. Later, the company moved into the lighting design industry and in 1931, Gio Ponti, who was the former founding editor of Domus magazine, took over as art director. Since then, the company has become a leading name in the design world, and their products have won several notable awards such as the Red Dot Award in 2015 with their Igloo light and the iF Gold Product Design Award for the Yumi light. In 2013 the company announced a new collection and a new move towards unusual materials combined with traditional methods.

The company's Pangen Suspension Lamp is made from high-shine aluminium, which forms a wide circular shade with gently curving lines. Light is softly diffused through a frosted polycarbonate screen for an ambient illuminating effect. Its wide diameter means it is ideal for larger spaces, where the light can take centre stage and make a real impact. It has a height of 20cm, a diameter of 60cm and a cable length of 300cm. It takes 3x Halogen E27 / 42W bulbs.
