Birdie Floor Lamp

The Birdie Floor Lamp was designed by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba for the brand Foscarini. Foscarini is a legendary name in Italian design. Creating "lights that change everything", the company has worked with numerous world-leading designers over its 35 year lifespan, blending Italian production techniques and craft skills with cultural influences from countries as disparate as Norway, Japan, and India. The Palombas are regular partners for the label and mainstays of Milan's design scene.

As with many Palomba studio creations, the Birdie Floor Lamp is inspired by nature, echoing the form of a sapling with a bird resting on a slender branch. Subtle and beautiful, it brings an organic touch to anyone's home. The Birdie Floor Lamp measures 25cm around its base and is 150cm tall. The tapered diffuser measures 29cm tall and crowns the design elegantly, while an angled metallic strut evokes the form of trees and adds a touch of delicacy to the composition. Made from polycarbonate and steel, the lamp casts a general light across medium sized spaces and uses a E 27 bulb. It is supplied with a 270cm cable, allowing flexible placement throughout the home.
