Egg Chair Loungechair Fabric Warm Graphite Base

The Egg Chair™ Loungechair Fabric Warm Graphite Base has been created by Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen. Egg first appeared in 1958 as part of Jacobsen's furnishings for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The shape of the chair emerged from months of experimenting with wire frame and plaster, as Jacobsen sought to create a chair with seductive, soft curves.

The Danish master certainly succeeded, creating a Scandinavian icon. The Egg Chair™ Loungechair Fabric Warm Graphite Base is an updated version of the original design. It features the chair's famous egg-shaped seat which is covered with hand-stitched Christianshavn 1120 upholstery in a braided lockstitch style and a light beige tone. The rounded seat contrasts with a high back and a cross shaped base, creating a space that invites sitters to relax.

The base of the Egg Chair™ Loungechair Fabric Warm Graphite Base is made from aluminium with a graphite finish, while plastic and foam combine to form the main shell. The chair measures 86cm wide and has a depth of 95cm, while the back height is 107cm, the armrests height is 58cm and the seat height is 37cm. With stylish looks and complete comfort, it will be a wonderful addition to any lounge space.
