The Componibili 3 Container mattwas designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri for the brand Kartell.

Ferrieri was an Italian product designer who pioneered the use of plastics in storage cabinets and other practical home furnishings. She also co-founded Kartell, helping it to become one of the pre-eminent labels in European design. Componobili was one of her signature creations. Featuring interlocking cabinets of varying sizes, it provides a flexible way to create office spaces, and one which enhances the visual feel wherever it is used.

Offering handy extra storage space, the Componibili 3 Container matt brings together function and looks in one beguiling package. The Componibili 3 Container matt includes three sets of drawers and has a cylindrical format. Each drawer can be opened via a round hole cut into the left hand side of the unit, which serves as an ergonomic handle. The unit as a whole measures 58 x 32 cm, making it fairly compact, although it's easy to combine the Componibili 3 Container mattwith other products in the same range to add extra capacity. Made from ABS polymer plastic, it comes in an appealing matt finish and weighs just 3.3kg.
