The rectangular tabletop is made from scratch-resistant laminate so thin that it creates the illusion of a tabletop that levitates rather than one that is conventionally attached to the frame. The tabletop sits on a frame made of steel with a lacquer finish. The legs are also unconventional. They are also thin slats rather than tubular or blocks as is customary with the legs that support a table. The joints are also done differently. The space between the frame and the tabletop creates the illusion that the top is floating and not attached to the frame.
