The regal P/wood Chair was created by the French designer Philippe Starck for the Italian design company Kartell.

When Giulio Castelli started Kartell in 1949, he was unaware it would become a symbol of Italian design and a success story told through wonderful products. Specialising in home accessories, furnishings and furniture, the label is vital to the domestic landscape and creates contemporary design icons. Philippe Starck developed the P/Wood Chair out of love for the distinguishing features of the Smart Wood Collection. His creative concept is well displayed in the choice of the noblest and most ageless of materials: beech.

With patented technology, the P/Wood Chair is sculpted into a sinuous roundness that brings the panel curvature to the edges. It combines the aesthetic tactility of wood with its ability to blend into nature with exceptional ergonomic lines. This curvaceous chair ensures maximum comfort with side sections that seem to embrace the user. With steel legs and available in several hues, this smart wooden chair is 51 x 82 x 55.5 cm in size and 5.5kg in weight. The seat is 43.5cm high. This portable seat pairs flawlessly with contemporary furniture.
