Product description

The Hive Table Lamp was designed by Ini Archibong for the brand Kdln. Italian lighting company Kdln is well-known for its collection of pioneering and daring lights in a contemporary style. The internationally recognised Italian brand is always innovative and at the forefront of modern research and technology. Ini Archibong studied in California and Switzerland. He was awarded American Student Designer of the Year in 2010 and creates furniture and lighting that evokes emotion and offers an escape from the mundane.

Each lamp designed for this brand is striking, expressive and unconventional and the Hive Table Lamp is a prime example of this in the way it brings together different time periods. With a golden honeycomb pattern over a glossy ceramic base, this lamp has a distinct Japanese flavour, but there are also elements of Art Deco in the overall shape. A soft illumination is emitted from the Hive Table Lamp through the two-layered mouth-blown glass of the opal diffuser. The lamp is 47cm tall and there are four colour options available. The lamp base is enamel on ceramic that has been fired three times. The switch is on the cord, and one E27 bulb is required.
