The Kushi XL Suspension Lamp was designed by Alberto Saggia and Valerio Sommella for the brand Kdln. Based in Italy, Kdln is a lighting company founded in 1996 that is globally known for its distinctive and daring design. Each piece is striking and makes a powerful statement in a space. Young and innovative designers create strong pieces for this company, including Alberto Saggia and Valerio Sommella, who both studied in Milan. The pair design furniture and lighting and believe in combining the best technology with strong, artistic aesthetics.

The Kushi range includes ceiling, wall, table and floor lamps which look stunning grouped together in a room. The largest single lamp is the Kushi XL Suspension Lamp, which measures 56cm high and 43cm wide. There are 2 smaller suspension lamps in the collection. A metal rod pierces the spherical shape to give the impression of a skewer through an apple. There is a soft, warm light emitted from the Kushi XL Suspension Lamp thanks to the two-layered, mouth-blown glass opal diffuser. The metal rod through the lamp comes in a choice of finishes to complement the rest of the home. Two 15W - E27 LED bulbs are needed for the XL size Kushi.
