Barber & Osgerby 2-Seater Sofa

The Barber & Osgerby 2-Seater Sofa was designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby for the American label Knoll International and is a wonderful piece of contemporary living room furniture.

Barber and Osgerby are a London based partnership who have been active since the mid-1990s and have received some impressive commissions, including the 2012 Olympic Torch. But their speciality is in creating everyday items like lighting or, in this instance, sofas, with exceptional quality. Their success has been reflected in numerous awards, including OBEs from the British government and Compasso d'Oro nominations - a sign of how well regarded their work is within the European furniture design scene.

The Barber & Osgerby 2-Seater Sofa is more than just a standard 2-seater. It has dimensions of 186 x 71.5 x 102 cm, so is spacious enough to suit families. It also has a strong, well-concealed wood and aluminium frame that ensures total stability. This frame is hardly noticeable beneath the fabric cushions which have a streamlined, simple look and are perfectly proportioned.
