Platner Side Table

The Platner Side Table was designed by Warren Platner for the brand Knoll International.

Platner was an American furniture designer and architect who contributed some of the most iconic works of the 1950s and 60s. Mixing a modernist sensibility with a flair for artistry and excess, Platner's furniture embodied a consummate feel for modern design techniques and materials. Few designers then or since have used welding techniques to create such sensuous, complex patterns - and the whole Platner collection continues to offer a template for today's experts.

The Platner Side Table is a characteristic piece. Superbly elegant and crafted with care and skill, it will be a wonderful addition to anyone's home. Made from finely shaped steel and glass, it creates an almost psychedelic light pattern via its rods and curves.
