Bowl Side Table L

The Bowl Side Table L has been created by Ayush Kasliwal for the brand Mater. Indian industrial designer Kasliwal takes an approach to design that inclines him to combine traditional crafting with contemporary designs. He does this with ingenuity and a touch of whimsy, resulting in pieces that are both vintage and modern at the same time. A good example is the Bowl Side Table L that he designed for Mater. The round tabletop is made of sustainably harvested natural mango wood. Its edges are raised, making it look like a tray. The wood is turned on a lathe, which is a skill of the Kharadi, an Indian community known for this and other craftsmanship skills. The top is finished with lead-free, water-based PU paint. The top sits on a frame made of steel. It has three legs made of milled hollow steel that taper into narrow ends. The base can be detached, which makes it possible to fill the tray with food and drink and then place it on the base.

The Bowl Side Table L has a diameter of 52cm and a height of 46cm. It is available with a tabletop finished in a choice of colours. All the tables come with a black base.
