Product description

The Bowl Side Table S has been created by Ayush Kasliwal for the brand Mater. Indian industrial designer Kasliwal takes the approach of combining the old and the new. He does this by creating modern designs and bringing them to life using old Indian crafting traditions and materials like stone, brass and the wood from which the Bowl Side Table S is made. This is sustainably harvested natural mango wood finished with an eco-friendly, lead-free, water-based PU lacquer for colour and protection from the elements. The wood is worked by being turned on a lathe which showcases the skills of the Kharadi, an Indian community that is known for its craftsmanship abilities. The tabletop has edges that are raised, which gives it the appearance of a tray. It can actually be removed from the frame it sits on and put back on when needed. The frame on which it rests is made of steel. The three tubular legs fashioned from milled hollow steel rods taper into narrow edges and are angled outwards to give the table added stability and durability.

The Bowl Side Table S has a height of 38cm and a diameter of 40cm. It is available in a choice of colours.
