Erosion Rhodonite Carpet

The Erosion Rhodonite Carpet has been created by Moooi Carpets for the brand Moooi Carpets. The design is inspired by the transitions that occur in nature. This includes the beginning and end of new seasons, the light of dawn in the morning and twilight after sunset and other changes that come naturally and periodically. The new season or time of day begins with fading out of the old one. On this carpet, the fading away is represented by patches that look scant and worn while the beginning of a new season or day is represented by full, abundant sections.

The imagery on the Erosion Rhodonite Carpet comes alive because of the polyamide it is printed on. This synthetic fabric which is a type of nylon takes ink very well. The method of printing which is done digitally also elevates the effect. Dye is dispensed into the fabric with high precision via computer-controlled inkjets. The printer's high-resolution output gives colours rich tones and sharp contrast, depicting any image very brilliantly.

The Erosion Rhodonite Carpet is available in two sizes. The smaller one has a 250cm diameter while the large one has a diameter of 350cm. It is available in multicolour with predominant shades of magenta.
