Julien De Smedt is a designer who originally hails from Belgium but moved to Copenhagen to start his own design company. The company achieved rapid success, with De Smedt winning national and international recognition for his work. He has won numerous awards for his designs, including a Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2004, when he was just 29 years old.

The Stacked 2.0 Acoustic Panel L is a component of the stacked shelving system also by De Smedt. The system is based on the idea of connecting and stacking different sized shelves and stackable units without using screws or glue.
