Product description

The Quill New Wool Carpet was designed by Japan's Nao Tamura for the Spanish label Nanimarquina. Shaped like a feather, with strands artfully radiating from a central spine, it has a beautiful simplicity and natural feel.

Tamura was tasked with creating a design that was functional but at the same time artistic, and she succeeded completely. Taking inspiration from nature, she decided to hand draw the elements of the rug, making each product completely unique - just like every feather or every leaf in the natural world.

This artistry characterises Tamura's work, and she has accumulated numerous awards over the years, including IF Product Design Awards, Red Dot prizes and gold medals at the Industrial Design Excellence Awards. So, when you add the Quill New Wool Carpet to your furnishings collection, you will be adding the work of a modern master.

The materials used in the rug have been meticulously chosen to make it as soft as possible. That's why Tamura went for virgin wool, using the softest, most welcoming fabric to line the carpet. Every element of the rug has also been crafted by hand in line with the Nanimarquina mission of supporting skilled crafts experts and keeping their traditions alive.
