My Chair Lounge Chair

The My Chair Lounge Chair was designed by Nicholai Wiig Hansen for the label Normann Copenhagen.

As with other Normann Copenhagen products, the idea was to establish a new approach to design work as the label is not only a manufacturer of ingenious products but also offers a lifestyle.

In a bid to break away from normal design rules, the company sought out Nicholai Wiig Hansen, who responded with his My Chair Lounge Chair, winner of the 2014 Interior Innovation Award. The prize acknowledged the chair's innovative features and rewarded the designer's passion for creating timeless and functional items. The My Chair Lounge Chair, with its 58 x 72 x 67 cm dimensions, is comprised of a moulded walnut, oak, smoked oak or birch veneer shell coated with a clear lacquer. It features rubber pieces between the legs and the shell, and plastic components underneath the legs. The lightweight My Chair Lounge Chair by Nicholai Wiig Hansen is easily moved around to create a comfy seat anywhere. With a seat height of 38.5cm, a wide backrest, and narrow curved legs, it has a dynamic appearance that fits in with most settings.
