The Juliette Chair has been created by Marie Michielssen for the brand Serax. Inspired by optimum functionality and practicality for everyday life, the designer leans towards minimalism to deliver this. It applies to aesthetics as well which she achieves using subtle detailing rather than frivolous add-ons.
The Juliette Chair is made of oak that is finished with staining. Its aesthetic is built into its form. This is achieved with the use of straight lines in different dimensions and directions. A short-slab serves as a backrest. It is attached to a square-shaped seat. It is supported by a thick slab underneath and two smaller ones in front. It is a versatile piece that can be used for seating, as a side table, stool or even a bedside table.
The Juliette Chair has a width of 37cm, a height of 60cm and a depth of 35cm. It has a seat height of 45cm. It is available in neutral colours that enhance its versatility. Matching benches with or without a backrest and tables are available in the collection. The table should be cleaned with a lint-free cloth dampened with water. Mild detergent can be added while harsh or abrasive products and cleaners like scourers should be avoided.

Only lint-free cloths should be used for care and stain removal. It is recommended to wipe off stains and dirt immediately with a dry or damp cloth. Fruit, ink or felt-tip pen stains should be removed immediately before they can adhere to the surface. If a damp cloth is not sufficient for stain removal, a mild soapy solution may be helpful. Under no circumstances should aggressive cleaning or scouring agents be used, as they destroy the painted surface. |
