Bieg Basic Element

The Bieg Basic Element has been created by Eigenwert for the brand Tojo. The German brand makes it easy to create living and working spaces that meet specific needs and preferences. This is achieved with furniture and extensions that can be configured in different ways and expanded with extensions when additional storage space is needed. The Bieg Basic Element is one of the brand's offerings. It won the brand the 2010 Award for Contribution to the Kanton Bern for Design and Creation. It is a freestanding bookcase with dimensions that have been adapted to work with standard book sizes. With the extension modules, it is possible to build a flexible bookshelf that can accommodate larger books such as textbooks or hardcover books. The unit comes as a basic piece and extension modules that can be purchased separately. It has angle brackets that are curved in a specific way for use with the unit. It comes with MDF shelves finished with matte white paint and angle brackets that are made of aluminum finished with a grey powder-coating.

The Bieg Basic Element has shelves that are 80cm in length and 28cm in width. The angle brackets have a height of 31cm or 23cm. The extension modules are available in different dimensions.
