Bieg Extension Element

The Bieg Extension Element has been created by Eigenwert for the brand Tojo. The Swiss design firm is a duo comprising Andreas Pfister and Lars Villiger. The two combine their skills and passion for furniture making and graphic designer respectively to create pieces that are practical, timeless and versatile. This is well illustrated in the Bieg Extension Element. The Bieg freestanding bookcase has been designed to hold books in standard sizes and formats. With the extension element also being made from the same MDF, it is possible to reconfigure the shelf so that it holds more books. It can also be reconfigured to hold larger books such as college textbooks and hardcovers. This makes the bookshelf ideal for use in a child's bedroom or a college student's dorm room. It is also ideal for use in spaces with limited space such as studio apartments.

The Bieg Extension Element comes in two different sizes. The small one has one board and three aluminum shelf supports. It has a width of 80cm, a height of 26cm and a depth of 28cm. The larger one also has one board, three shelf supports, a width of 80cm, a height of 34cm and a depth of 28cm.
