The Cité Armchair has been created by Jean Prouvé for the brand Vitra. This chair has a height of 84cm, a width of 68cm and a depth of 95cm. Its seat height is 33.5cm and this particular model is finished in pebble melange, a shade of soft grey-blue.
The Vitra Cité Armchair has a composition of steel, soft upholstery form, a fabric made from 73% virgin wool, and a polyester and polyamide blend. Jean Prouvé, the French engineer and designer, originally created this iconic piece to furnish the student halls of Nancy's city university. He also began using the expansive, extremely comfortable chair in his living room, beguiled by its leather belt-styled armrests and powder-coated steel runners.
