The EA 119 Aluminium Chair Chromed Base was designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the Vitra label.
Vitra is a world-leader in furniture and design based in Switzerland, and the brand has the exclusive rights to produce the creations of Charles and Ray Eames in Europe. The American couple were light years ahead of their time, and their iconic designs are still relevant and fresh today.
The Aluminium collection of chairs was first introduced in 1958. The EA 119 Aluminium Chair Chromed Base represents the Eames' departure from solid-shell chairs, as they added more texture and flexibility to the designs. Making the ideal office chair, this is a sculpted piece which offers a comfortable sitting position. The cushioned ridges on the EA 119 Aluminium Chair Chromed Base make the slim backrest extra comfortable. The EA 119 Aluminium Chair Chromed Base is adjustable in height between 101.5 and 113.5cm. The seat measures 58cm wide and 58.5cm deep, and the seat height is 39.2cm. The aluminium chromed base contrasts beautifully with the upholstery.
