The Eames Plastic Armchair RAR Rocking Chair Chrome Base by Vitra was designed in its original version as early as 1950 by Charles & Ray Eames.
The Eames Plastic Armchair RAR Rocking Chair is the re-edition of the legendary "fibreglass chair", initially designed for the competition "Low Cost Furniture Design" by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The label Vitra now produces the Eames Plastic Armchair RAR Rocking Chair with more environmentally friendly materials, your chance to purchase one of these popular design objects!

The frame of the Eames Plastic Armchair RAR Rocking Chair by Vitra is made of chrome-plated steel, the seat of polypropylene, the skids of the rocking chair are made of maple wood. For the colour of the seat shell you have a choice of different colours, next to white we also carry this chair in the shades mauve grey, ocean blue, and mustard yellow.

Among other versions the Eames Plastic Armchair by Vitra is also available with the Eiffel Tower base, known as DAR, and with wooden legs, known as DAW.
