The Eames Plastic Side Chair DSR Chromed Base was designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the brand Vitra.

It's hard to overstate the importance of the Eames name on the history of 20th Century design. The multi-award winning couple made a huge impact, rethinking the use of shape and materials, and originating some of the century's most iconic designs, which are still in production today. They have a natural home at Vitra, a company with a track record of high-quality manufacture and a reputation for producing beautiful furniture that's as practical as it is aesthetically pleasing.

This is realised in the Eames Plastic Side Chair DSR Chromed Base, one of the enduring designs on which the Eames legend is built. This sturdy yet elegant 46.5 x 83 x 55 cm chair is ideal for any modern design scheme, with its sinuously curved polypropylene seat sitting on crossed steel legs. The hard-wearing materials make the chair suitable for indoor or outdoor use, felt gliders for the legs make it kind to hardwood floors, and its good looks mean it would work equally well in the dinning room, round a kitchen table , or as an occasional chair.
