The Landi Outdoor Armchair was designed by Hans Coray for Vitra.

The all-aluminium chair was initially designed to be the 1939 Swiss National Exposition official outdoor seat, making it a classic relic of 20th-century design. It's not a surprise to see such a piece being produced by Vitra, a Swiss company known for bringing the work of renowned designers from the 1900s to appreciative modern audiences. The label even has it's own museum campus in Germany. Coray is also Swiss, and this piece is probably the creation for which he is best known. He is considered a pioneer in the industrial design field.

The Landi Outdoor Armchair is a simple chair measuring 51.5 x 65 x 47.5 cm and comprises of only two parts; the armrest and the seat's supporting frame are joined by a welded crossbeam. It has 91 punched holes which allow for the fast draining of rainwater, keep the seat lightweight and enhance comfort. The Landi Outdoor Armchair is a stackable, easily portable all-weather seat which makes it a favourite for both indoor and outdoor use.
