The Promotion Set Eames Plastic DAW + Fur was created by Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra.

For over 60 years, Vitra has been producing furniture that combines high aesthetic value with true functionality. Its pieces are either created by talented contemporary names or are the work of well-known 20th-century designers. The American partnership of Charles and Ray Eames is probably one of the best known in the design world. Their work displays a fusion of architectural lines with artistic vision and has remained timelessly elegant.

The Promotion Set Eames Plastic DAW + Fur is part of a collection of chairs produced by Charles and Ray Eames for a competition run by MoMA in the 1950s. The organic and comfortable shape of the seat is moulded in one piece from tough polypropylene. The legs, which are supported by steel struts, are made from golden maple wood which provides a warm contrast to the plastic and metal. This warmth is further enhanced by the high-quality lambskin seat cover. The Promotion Set Eames Plastic DAW + Fur measures 62.5 x 83 x 60 cm and has a seat height of 43cm.
