The Laguna 37 Table Lamp was created by Matteo Thun for the brand Artemide.
Artemide, based in Pregnana Milanese, a suburb of Milan, is a global design leader. Specialising in lighting, the company has produced award-winning products in conjunction with talented architects like Matteo Thun, an icon of Italian multicultural architecture who has won numerous awards himself, including the Red Dot and Green Good Design Awards. Inspired by the concept of hospitality, the Laguna 37 Table Lamp has been featured in the The Museum of Modern Art as well as The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The Laguna is spherical in shape and has a raised aluminium base designed for table-top illumination, casting warm light to the surroundings. Mounted on the aluminium base is a hand-blown glass shade with a diffuser inside. Available in two finishes, the Laguna 37 Table Lamp has an overall height of 51.4cm. The diameter of the base is 13cm, while that of the diffuser is 37cm. This lamp generates a powerful light, making it ideal for living rooms and hotels. It is available in three sizes and uses a bulb which is available separately.
