A ball-round classic that had many imitators over the last 10 years: The Dioscuri collection was designed by Michele de Lucchi for the Italian lamp manufacturer Artemide in 2003 and enchants design lovers with soft full-moon light even today!

Minimalist and timeless in its shape the ball of light is made of high-quality, hand-blown, and satined opal glass. In this combination the Dioscuri lamps delights design lovers with soft, diffused light.

The Dioscuri collection is made up of two lamps: the Dioscuri table lamp and the Dioscuri wall lamp, which can also be used as Dioscuri ceiling lamp. In each version the Dioscuri lamp is available in four sizes and, except for the smallest version, is equipped with a cord dimmer that regulates not only the light intensity but also the mood.

The round Dioscuri lamps convinced us with their versatile applicability and their harmonious and reduced design vocabulary – on the table, the sideboard, on the windowsill, or on the wall and ceiling. The light sphere reminds us of the full moon shining down with its soft light. All lamps from the Dioscuri collection by Artemide are equipped with energy-efficient halogen illuminants, which have a very long service life and a high light yield.

With his Dioscuri collection the world famous lighting manufacturer Artemide enhances your quality of life with beautiful lighting, for this is the Italian company's philosophy. With the goal to combine function, innovation, and efficiency in a masterly manner, Artemide works with renowned designers. The designer of the Dioscuri collection, Michele de Lucchi, is the pioneer of postmodern design and founder of various design movements like Cavart, Lchymia, or Memphis Group. Next to his job as professor at the faculty for design and art in Venice, Italy, Michele de Lucchi runs his own design studio “amdl” in Milan and Rome. For his efforts of enhancing the quality of life and living he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Kingston University in 2006.

The soft light of the Dioscuri collection for Artemide delights design lovers time and again!
