Cut Sun Bed

The Cut Sun Bed has been created by Hee Welling and Gudmundur Ludvik for the brand Cane-line. Danish industrial designer Welling and Icelandic designer Ludvik have combined their heritages to come up with a bed that blends comfort, function and aesthetics. It will be a luxurious place to relax outside, while standing up to any weather.

The Cut Sun Bed is set on a rectangular aluminium frame that has received protective powder coated finish. This main frame is held up by two U-shaped bars at the top and at the bottom. Welling and Ludvik have added a foam-filled mattress upholstered with a soft and resilient outdoor upholstery fabric developed by Cane-Line themselves. Known as AirTouch, it repels dirt and UV rays is extremely fast drying. The cushion has stitching details across its breadth, giving it a clean, neat look.

The Cut Sun Bed has a length of 199cm, a width of 75cm and a height of 94cm, with a seat height of 38cm. The cushion can be adjusted to four different positions so sitters can set it as low or high as they like. The sun bed comes in a single refined lava grey tone with black powder coated metallic elements.
