The Mexique Side Table was designed by Charlotte Perriand for the manufacturer Cassina. Established in 1927, this Italian company draws on both architecture and design to create exciting new concepts in interior décor, matching these with a deep understanding of the latest industrial processes. Perhaps best known for her long association with the architect Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand 1903-1999 was a pioneer of bringing great design to the masses through the use of affordable materials and simple yet bold silhouettes. Her large-scale projects included the Geneva headquarters of the League of Nations.

Charlotte Perriand often took her inspiration from rustic furniture, and such is the case with the Mexique Side Table from Cassina, with its exotic yet homely South American feeling. Measuring 38cm in height, 80cm in width and 118cm in length, it consists of a rounded triangular top available in either sold walnut or oak standing on tapering metal feet with a matte finish. A simple yet timeless design, it can function as a coffee table in a family living room, or as an occasional table for serving food and drinks at parties, or it can be tucked away in a corner as a side table.
