The Anapo Dining Table was created by Gordon Guillaumier for Driade.
Since 1968 the innovative and creative Italian design label Driade has been considered as a factory of art, producing furniture and accessories for the home and garden that are always elegant and innovative. Maltese-born Gordon Guillaumier has a background in industrial design and architecture. He has his own design studio in Milan. He lectures in industrial design and his work is widely exhibited. Among his many prizes are the Premio Compasso d'Oro and the Archiproduct Design Award.
The striking form of the Anapo Dining Table is a pure fusion of architecture and furniture design with its unconventional combination of materials and shape. Conventional table legs are replaced with a painted steel mesh frame that gives the table a transparency and lightness. This is enhanced by the tabletop of tinted tempered glass that rests on the frame. Designed in 2014 but inspired by the Sixties, the Anapo Dining Table has the generous proportions of 250 x 74 x 105 cm making it suitable for dining rooms as well as offices and meeting rooms. The design can be complemented by the other round tables and coffee tables in the Anapo range.
