Lord Yi Garden Table

The Lord Yi Garden Table has been created by Philippe Starck for the brand Driade.It is a play of different shapes that combine to form a unique piece. The materials it is made of and the way they are finished adds another decorative detail taking note of how they contrast against each other.

The Lord Yi Garden Table has a square table top. The SAN plastic top has an outermost layer finished with a dyed clay-based compound. It is finished manually by shaving it with a spatula which gives it a unique look. Apart from the aesthetics, the compound also makes the tabletop resistant to stains and water-repellent. This increases the table's longevity considerably. The top rests on a sturdy, column-shaped stem that is made of aluminium. It has a similar ring close to the bottom and then it broadens out to form a disc-shaped base with a concave shape. The metal is finished with adonisation which protects it from weather elements.

The Lord Yi Garden Table has a length of 80cm, a width of 80cm and a height of 73cm. It comes in neutral colours and its dimensions make it ideal for small outdoor spaces like the balconies found in apartment buildings.
