The Rituals XL Ceiling Lamp has been created by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba for the brand Foscarini. It combines the old and the new in a poetic, charming piece. The old is represented by its shape that is reminiscent of traditional Japanese paper lanterns and the new by the technology that optimises its functionality.
The Rituals XL Ceiling Lamp has a generously sized sphere-shaped shade made of mouth-blown satin glass. It has the detail of random lines etched all around it. This is done using a mould before the process is finished with immersion in acid. Their effect can be seen when the lamp is on and there is an intriguing play of light and shadows around it. The lamp is attached to the ceiling with a nut ring. This eliminates the need for cables which allows the artistic shade to be the focal point. The lamp casts light all around. Its intensity can be adjusted via a TRIAC dimmer.
The Rituals XL Ceiling Lamp has a height of 41cm, a width of 40cm and a diameter of 40cm. It comes in neutral colours. The lamp works with an E27 socket. The light source is included in the delivery.
