This gracious Rituals XL Table Lamp was designed by Roberto and Ludovica Palomba for the Italian label Foscarini.
Foscarini was formed in Murano, Venice in 1981 to create lamps inspired by local glass blowing techniques. It has since expanded to become one of Italy's most influential brands with branches in Milan and New York. Foscarini has developed many award-winning lamps in association with renowned designers, including the MITE, TITE and TWIGGY lamps created in conjunction with Marc Sadler.
Evoking the exotic spirit of a Japanese rice paper lantern, this Rituals XL Table Lamp is crafted from satin glass using traditional Murano hand-blown glass techniques. The surface of the glass features a striped effect achieved via the use of a mould with negative decorations. The supporting base is made from metal coated with white epoxy powder and the lamp support is made from polycarbonate. Measuring 41cm in height and with a diameter of 40cm, the unit features a transparent cable of 190cm fitted with a dimmer. The Rituals XL Table Lamp is the ideal table lamp to provide a soft, warm luminescence in living rooms and other spaces where a relaxing atmosphere is desired.
