The Spokes 1 LED Suspension Lamp was designed by the Garcia Cumini Studio for the manufacturer Foscarini. Creating pieces in high quality plastics and metal as well as traditional blown glass, this Venetian firm has been making outstanding lighting fixtures for over 30 years. Based in Udine, Italy, Garcia Cumini is a vibrant young design and architecture studio that brings a distinctive visual flair to its varied projects. It has taken part in several high-profile exhibitions in Europe and the Far East, and has won both the Elle Decor and Compasso d'Oro awards.
Inspired by the twirling patterns of bicycle wheels, the Spokes 1 LED Suspension Lamp from Foscarini has a soft, birdcage-like shape made from varnished aluminium wires. In this version, a single LED in the base directs light upwards, glittering on the wires and casting a pattern on the ceiling that can be set into motion with a touch of the hand. Striking yet ethereal, refined yet with a strong graphic impact, the Spokes 1 LED Suspension Lamp is just the thing to bring a touch of fairy tale magic and exotic romance to master bedrooms, hotel suites and cocktail lounges.
