The Soft Edge 40 Chair is the brainchild of the Copenhagen-based design studio Iskos-Berlin Design for the Danish furniture and home accessory company HAY.
HAY offers minimalist and innovative products for the home and office that are designed by some of the world's most talented designers. Iskos-Berlin Design was formed by Boris Berlin and Aleksej Iskos in 2010. Berlin has won several design awards and distinctions, while Iskos graduated from the Institute of Industrial Design in 1996.
The Soft Edge 40 Chair is minimalist and functional in design, with clear and precise structures. The chair measures 50 x 54.5 x 78 cm, ensuring that it fits under a wide variety of tables. The iron frame, oak seat and backrest combine to make a comfortable and solid stand. Nubs placed at the ends of each leg allow the chair to be non-slip, and the stackable quality of multiple chairs saves space when the product is not in use. Its modern shape and neutral colour scheme allow the chair to easily be combined with other kitchen furnishing styles, and it can also be used in the living room, dining room or office space.
