The Knitterling Suspension Lamp has been created by Ingo Maurer for the brand Ingo Maurer. The 1978 lamp has lost none of the style and appeal it had when it debuted decades ago. This is thanks to its timeless details.
The Knitterling Suspension Lamp has a light, airy look and feel because of its shade. It is made of traditional Japanese paper that has been fashioned into a cone shape. The paper is crinkled rather smooth. It is a detail that adds intrigue and curiosity. A suspension cable fixes it securely to the ceiling. Another unique detail of this lamp is that its height can be adjusted by looping the cable. It can be tied to shorten the lamp or let loose to lengthen it. This makes the lamp suitable for rooms with high ceilings as well as those with low ones. The lamp casts a warm, white directly downwards. The light's intensity can be adjusted using a leading-edge dimmer.
The Knitterling Suspension Lamp has a height of 24cm and a diameter of 60cm. Its cable can be adjusted to between 200cm and 450cm. It comes in neutral colours. It works with an E27 socket and the bulb has to be purchased separately.
