As described above the Batten lounge chair from Jan Kurtz is made from recycled teak wood. Teak wood has a high content of natural oils; this makes the wood very weather resistant. With time a silver-grey patina forms on the Batten lounge chair, which is typical of teak furniture. If you would like to keep the new look of the Batten lounge chair as long as possible you should treat its teak wood with special oil.
